Cancellation of CRA Conference 2020

In light of recent and escalating global and national measures being imposed surrounding Covid-19, we regret to inform you that this year’s CRA Annual Conference in Blenheim has been cancelled.

Thank you for your understanding and we encourage you all both personally and professionally to take the necessary precautions to stay safe and healthy.

Blenheim 2020 - Collision Repair Association

It is with great pleasure that the Canterbury/Westland Branch has been chosen to host the 2020 New Zealand Collision Repair Association 107th annual conference which will be held from Friday 15th May to Saturday 16th May 2020 at the Marlborough Convention Centre, Blenheim.

The Marlborough Convention Centre in Blenheim enjoys the perfect mix of business and pleasure amidst world-class scenery and purpose built conferencing facilities. The venue is also within easy walking distance of various accommodation options and downtown Blenheim. Blenheim is situated in the heart of wine-growing Marlborough and is one of the sunniest towns in New Zealand. As usual the programme has been designed to maximise opportunities exhibitors have with the delegates. Trade stand opportunities are limited and will receive maximum exposure through a series of events in the Exhibitors area.

Following tradition, a theme was conceived and for 2020 in Blenheim it is ‘Boost your business in Blenheim’.

Speakers

Mikey Havoc

Mikey Havoc – Our MC

Energetic, intense and a just a little bit manic; DJ and TV presenter Mikey Havoc loves the fact he gets paid to be himself. But behind that boisterous stage name lurks a quieter side. The semi-vegetarian also practices the holistic art of kinesiology and dreams of owning his own telescope to indulge his passion for stargazing.

A natural crowd pleaser, Mikey’s experience and improvisation skills make him a sought-after MC. He’ll follow the format but has never needed a script; while hosting the Wellington premiere of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, his lively banter kept the 20,000-strong crowd entertained for hours.

Gilbert Enoka

Gilbert Enoka has worked on performance enhancement for nearly 20 years with many of our corporate and sporting elite. He encourages individuals to take ownership of their own direction and to improve their ability to control the many variables that inhibit optimal performance.

Reaching your full potential so you can lift the performance of your team and business can be achieved with the guidance of a skilled professional. His skills have been highly sought after by the All Blacks, Canterbury Crusaders, Silver Ferns and the Black Caps.

You will find Gilbert’s presentation ‘matter of fact’ and interactional providing you with the winning tools and skills used by many of our corporate and sporting heroes.

Claire Turnbull

Claire is a qualified nutritionist who has been working in the health and wellness industry for over 15 years.

Claire is the Nutritionist for the Healthy Food Guide magazine, TVNZ Breakfast and Newstalk ZB as well as featuring in three prime time TV shows. Claire is also the owner and director of a private nutrition practice and corporate wellness company.

Claire’s passion is to help make it easier for others to eat well and live happy, balanced lives. Her approach is real, practical and very down to earth. She balances her work with two young children (aged five and two) so she really knows what it is like to juggle and have to find solutions that work in the real world.

Alongside the speaking and events Claire does, she has published two best seller books, ‘Lose Weight for Life’ and ‘Feel Good for Life’ and she has also released a wellness diary called ‘It’s a beautiful day’.

Jeff Smit

Jeff is the consummate automotive technician professional who believes passionately in the need for constant training to stay ahead in the automotive repair industry.

He owns and operates an auto electrical, general repair and air conditioning workshop on Sydney’s northern beaches, and he was instrumental in establishing The Automotive Technician network with two partners in 2007.

He has toured widely throughout Australia, New Zealand and internationally delivering technical workshops and training sessions to technicians specialising on automotive diagnostics.

Pic Picot

Owner and Founder of Pic's Peanut Butter.

In 2014, Bruce ‘Pic’ Picot sold his millionth jar of peanut butter. It started with him finding all peanut butters in his supermarket too sweet and laden with sugar. So in 2007, despite being legally blind he used an old family recipe and a concrete mixer and started making his own - firstly just selling it to friends and family and at the local markets.

Pic’s new factory, cafe and visitor experience, opened in February last year, employing 45 people, and producing around 25,000 jars a day, with exports to Australia, China, the UK, the US, the Middle East and South East Asia.

Simon Tutty

Lean processing is something that we all hear a lot about, and a number of us attempt to implement into our businesses, with varying success. CRA Chairman Brent Mackay is running a Q & A session with this modest Southland individual who, with the help of a consultant and his staff has revolutionised his business. You cannot miss this session if you are serious about your business.
